Although it is our policy not to comment
on negative influences over which we have no control, we would
be remiss if we did not condemn circumstances and actions
taken by those who would degrade, desecrate, and violate the
sacredness of death for personal and/or financial gain.
We allude to the recent and ever increasing
number of reports dating back as far as 1995 wherein unscrupulous
individuals and entities would exhume deceased persons, take
memorials and markers, and bury them in a mass common grave;
thereby freeing up the original gravesite to be resold a second
time for additional revenue.
Recently similar circumstances surfaced
in the State of Florida at several cemeteries owned and operated
by a well know national chain. The recent findings at a crematory
in Noble, GA drastically illuminates the disregard some have
for deceased loved ones remains.
Westland Services Corporation, the nations
leader in providing personalized long term beautification
and maintenance services at a family’s gravesite anywhere
in the continental United States, condemns any and all actions
and circumstances that compromise the integrity of the deceased
remains and the sacredness of the ground wherein they are
interred.
Westland’s sole mission is to provide
respectful remembrance at the family’s gravesite wherever
that may be, and “When a family cannot be there on a
regular basis, we are!” As such no alterations to the
site are possible now or in the future for our visitations
are frequent, unannounced, and sufficiently irregular that
those who might wish to violate the integrity of a family’s
gravesite will think long and hard before interfering with
a gravesite maintained by Westland Services.
